Reinstate Uncle Ben's and Aunt Jemima's Original Imagery on Products

Reinstate Uncle Ben's and Aunt Jemima's Original Imagery on Products
The Issue
As an individual who witnessed the sudden cultural shifts of 2020, I am urging companies to reinstate the original images of Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima on their respective products. Both these brands have been household names for decades, recognized by many for their iconic images. However, amidst the uproar that followed the George Floyd incident, they along with other logos were labelled "racist" under the influence of BLM and cancel culture, leading to their modification.
Social reaction and sensitivity is appreciable, but it is equally important to ensure such swift changes do not undermine the history and the original essence of these brands, which attracted consumers globally. The original imagery of Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima celebrating diversity in food culture should be reinstated, taking into consideration the values of heritage, diversity, and corporate responsibility over the years.
By signing this petition, collectively we can voice our support to preserve the traditional images that help us remember the brand's roots and story. This is not about clinging onto an offensive past but about maintaining the true identity of these longstanding brands, the memory of whom many shoppers, including myself, have grown up with.
Please express your support by signing this petition today. Let’s call upon these brands to value the thought, memory, and nostalgia that the original Uncle Ben's and Aunt Jemima imagery meant for us!
