On October 2d, 2025, YouTube terminated the Resistance is Fertile channel, claiming breach of its "circumvention policy" due to the fact that they had terminated co-host Benji Schoendorff’s channel in April 2025 for repeated "Hate Speech".

Benji’s channel never got a warning nor indication of which of his videos were deemed to contain "hate speech".  

YouTube has been arbitrarily shutting down thousands of channels through an opaque process vulnerable to AI errors or malicious actors, resulting in shutting down many legitimate voices. 

Resistance Is Fertile is a new and vital voice  in which two licensed psychologists, Sacha Rombouts and Benji Schoendorff analyze the psychology of the oppressors and the psychology of the oppressed, with a view to providing psychological keys to resist the world’s slide into barbarism and genocide.

As the de facto monopoly player on video content worldwide, YouTube has a duty to fairly review cases. Some large channels have benefited from human review and some have been able to raise enough of a public outcry to get YouTube to reverse their decision.

When we let small content creators be censored arbitrarily on spurious grounds, it deeply hurts our collective freedoms and our duty to protect the worldwide circulation of progressive ideas and content, as rights and freedoms are not true rights nor freedoms when they only apply to well-known individuals.

The privatization of public expression spaces through the near-monopoly of platforms like YouTube, Meta, X and TikTok gives oligarchs unwarranted license to shut down speech and defame those they target. We need to collectivley stand up against such abuses.

We therefore ask that YouTube conduct a human review of Benji's channel content and reinstate both Benji’s and the Resistance is Fertile channels.
