Reinstate the Terrorist Hunt Game Mode in Rainbow Six Siege
The Issue
First introduced in August of 1999, Terrorist Hunt has been a staple game mode in the Rainbow Six franchise for almost 25 years. Removing this popular and useful game mode from Rainbow Six Siege has only worsened the overall experience for both competitive and casual players as well as trust between Ubisoft Montreal and its fan base.
The Terrorist Hunt game mode was a beloved part of Rainbow Six Siege, offering players a unique and challenging experience. However, this mode has been removed from both computer and controller platforms, leaving many players disappointed. The game's community is diverse, with over 70 million registered users worldwide (source: Ubisoft 2021), many of whom enjoyed the strategic depth that Terrorist Hunt brought to the table.
Removing this mode not only limits gameplay options but also alienates a significant portion of the player base who preferred it over other modes. Popularity and utility was never an issue as most professional and casual players relied on Terrorist Hunt’s staple simplicity and technical aid for their skills. When compared to the newer replacement, Terrorist Hunt provides a quicker, more streamlined experience for warming up without an unskippable 45-second droning phase. Bringing back Terrorist Hunt would enrich the gaming experience for all players and provide them a valuable solo or cooperative mode for honing skills, practicing strategies, and enjoying a more casual experience.
We urge Ubisoft to listen to their dedicated player base and reinstate this much-loved game mode. Please sign this petition to show your support for bringing back Terrorist Hunt in Rainbow Six Siege.
