We, the undersigned residents of Liberty, Indiana, are writing to strongly petition the United States Postal Service to reinstate the drive-thru mailbox drop-off located in the alley next to the Liberty Post Office at 29 E Union St, Liberty, IN 47353. This service has been vital to our community for over 40 years, providing essential accessibility for elderly and disabled individuals who struggle with mobility. Additionally, the drive-thru mailbox offers convenience for those of us who work and live nearby, allowing quick drop-offs without the need to enter the post office. If we are to rely on only one mailbox near the post office building, the drive-thru mailbox is far more efficient and user-friendly than the option on Union Street. Those who sign this petition are not only advocating for the reinstatement of the drive-thru mailbox, but they also agree that if only one box is permitted, this is the preferred option over the Union Street service.
