Attention: West Jefferson School Board

We, the undersigned residents of Heritage Hills, respectfully request the reinstatement of the bus stop within our community, which has been a vital part of our neighborhood for as long as we can remember. The recent relocation of the bus stop to Old Clairton Blvd has raised significant safety concerns for our children and families. The current location of the bus stop is not safely equipped and is extremely dangerous to the children and resident's who are leaving and returning home. 

**Reasons for Reinstatement:**

1. **Safety Concerns for Children:** The current bus stop location on Old Clairton Blvd poses a significant safety risk. Children waiting on the busy road are exposed to traffic hazards, and there have been instances where children have come dangerously close to being hit.

2. **Unsafe Walking Conditions:** The requirement for children to walk up the hill to reach the bus stop is unsafe, particularly during adverse weather conditions. The lack of sidewalks and proper pedestrian paths further exacerbates the risk. 

3. **Increased Hazards Due to Parking Restrictions:** We have had to stop parking on the hill because it poses additional hazards. The lack of safe parking options makes it difficult for families to ensure their children's safety when accessing the bus stop. 

4. **Traffic and Accessibility Issues:** The current bus stop location creates congestion and makes it difficult for residents to enter and exit the community. The increased traffic on Old Clairton Blvd poses a risk to both drivers and pedestrians.

**Our Request:**

We urge the school district to prioritize the safety of our children by reinstating the bus stop within our community. By doing so, we can proactively address these safety concerns and prevent any potential accidents or injuries.

Our community has a large voting power, and we believe this is an important consideration for the future. The safety and well-being of our children should be a top priority, and we are committed to working with the school district to find a solution that benefits everyone involved.
