My journey with the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) began when I was just 10 years old. Over time, I qualified all eight times I participated for the international finals, always using the same platform. As I grew older and developed my engineering skills, eager to explore new complex platforms, I hit a roadblock - an age limit that prevented me from participating further.

This is not just my story but echoes the sentiments of many young engineers who are passionate about robotics and yearn to compete on an international stage. The discontinuation of Advanced Robotics Challenge categories for participants aged between 17 to 25 years has left us without a platform to showcase our skills and innovations.

By reinstating this category, we can continue nurturing advanced skill sets among youth who have outgrown other categories but still wish to participate.

We urge the World Robot Olympiad Association to reinstate an Advanced Robotics Challenge category for participants aged between 17-25 years old.
