I recently read a comment online that Marcia Gay Harden and Skylar Astin are "in demand" actors who cannot afford to "wait" to see if So Help Me Todd can be saved. Allegedly both actors would never accept any amount of deferred pay to save So Help Me Todd. This sounds like the typical Actor's agent talking, only focused on top dollar for their client; equating career trajectory with being highest paid.

Just as a network can water down their own product by decreasing the number of cast members to increase profits, a renowned Baker can add extra sugar to make a poorer version of their baked goods, resulting in greater profits in the present, but also devaluing their own future legacy. Meet CBS as they reduce cast members for their scripted shows by throwing out the baby with the bathwater. So Help Me Todd requires quality ingredients so CBS has bounced Todd because of the "more sugar" through less cast members programming mentality all networks appear to be addicted to.

If Marcia Gay Harden and Skylar Astin listen to their agents, and walk away from the greatest television cast ensemble in decades, we most likely will see Todd characters wearing some type of military / law enforcement wardrobe to justify their "value" in the future, and what a loss that would be.

Meet Dr. Phil, who was responsible for getting So Help Me Todd into the CBS line-up. Dr. Phil, who has an 8 year Prime Time winning streak with CBS, now has his own Network.

The Showrunner and Cast of So Help Me Todd should look into a deal with Merit Street Media that would include deferred pay. Start up networks tend to rerun programming at a high rate in the early stages as they build up their inventory of shows. A quality series like So Help Me Todd should be able to generate deferred payment royalties through multiple reruns when Todd is shown repeatedly on Merit Street Media Network. A show like Todd is fun to re watch and the quality would "merit" loyal and growing viewership.

I still watch the original Star Trek Series from the 1960's at 8pm prime time on nights when there is nothing but game shows, reality TV, and the 50th iteration of a singing show on existing Networks; not to mention my growing aversion for guns, bullets flying, explosions, kidnapping story lines, and medical emergency themes.

Now that I know Dr. Phil runs original programming at 8pm on his own netword, I will be checking out his Network channel as well.

The 3 CBS FBI shows avoid real life FBI failings such as the FBI's REFUSAL to protect everyday people from Medical abuse. Did you know that 99,000 to 251,000 Americans die every year in the U.S. from preventable medical error! The FBI is a FEDERAL enforcement agency that won't investigate Patients who are victims of Federal EMTALA Law Violations during medical care, yet CBS has THREE FBI shows, plus Swat, plus Tracker, Plus the Equalizer. All shows that deal with kidnappings and guns and bullets to the rescue.

When my Mother died because of repeated, intentional EMTALA violations in the ER in 2018 that I helplessly witnessed and could not stop, I contacted an FBI agent through my LinkedIn membership; the FBI agent had no idea what FEDERAL EMTALA LAW was! Imagine a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent not being trained about Federal EMTALA Law back in 2018. The local Police would also not investigate my Mother's Medical and Elder Abuse that occurred.

Instead of television programming that raises awareness as to how Americans are needlessly dying prematurely in Healthcare scenarios, we get more "Heroes" in bullet proof vests avoiding medical abuse stories while focusing on storylines involving gunning down a baddie.

Or, we can tune in and watch an incredible medical crew saving one life with tenacious care, while thousands others are medically neglected or even medically abused, as was my Mother. This is why shows like So Help Me Todd matter. Todd shows that people matter, frenemies can work together, families can have intelligent discussions without yelling at each other, and So Help Me Todd does this without bullets flying in every episode, something our networks seem to have devalued as they add more "sugar" to their programming menu.

If I were the Showrunner or a Cast member of So Help Me Todd, I would be negotiating with Dr. Phil to ensure Todd could thrive on Dr. Phil's Network as Merit Street Media grows and prospers.

If the actors from Todd choose to move on, they should be prepared to don some type of law enforcement attire and "strap that gun on" plot line". Our Beloved Todd cast may be swallowed up by the growing network movement to dumb us all down with shows that use force and violence to make us feel protected, while our neighborhoods decay, insurance rates skyrocket, 100,000's of thousands unnecessarily die in our Healthcare systems every year while the victim's families have no one to turn to, and vieweres don't feel safe, even as People in Peril television network programming trick us into caring about their fictional characters while those same networks refuse to care enough to read our comments about how much we love So Help Me Todd.

If I was a top actor who could see the wisdom in making 25,000 dollars an episode, with the other 75% to 90% deferred so I could continue making So Help Me Todd episodes; because it meant I would be in partnership with the future success of Dr. Phil's network, I would take that deal versus dealing with the sugar addicted executives at CBS.
