Reinstate Separate Little Leagues for Show Low and Pinetop

The Issue

Navigating sporting commitments with multiple children is no easy task. Numerous parents, including myself, find it increasingly difficult to manage the logistic implications associated with the recent merge of the Show Low and Pinetop Little Leagues into one Mountain Pines Little League. The travel time added for families living in one area and having to commute to another every day is not only burdensome but also time-consuming.

Moreover, for our children, the stars of these leagues, the costs have been even more pronounced. The opportunity for them to shine and display their talents in All Star Teams has gone down drastically. Previously, these communities used to have two separate teams selecting their best, but the merger has condensed it down to one, denying numerous talented players the chance to play in the spotlight they thoroughly deserve.

Let us call on our league leaders and urge them to go back to hosting individual leagues for Show Low and Pinetop. The benefits are three-fold: it would ease logistic pressures on families, reduce unnecessary travel time, and provide more opportunities for our children to shine in All Star Teams.

We want and need to return to the system where each town had their own Little League. Let's prioritize our children's needs, reduce the parental burden, and uphold our communal spirit once more. Support our call for separate Show Low and Pinetop Little Leagues and sign this petition. Let's make a positive change for our children and community.
