I am a seller and buyer on Mercari, and I have seen firsthand the negative impact of the recent changes in selling fees. Prior to this change, sales were good, and I was even buying a lot on the platform. Now, however, it's not as easy to buy or sell items. This is not just my personal experience; many people are affected by these changes and many rely heavily on Mercari for their livelihoods.

The new buying fees have caused our sales to drop dramatically. Moreover, buyer transparency has suffered significantly; when buyers check out an item now they are hit with a 20% fee plus a minimum $4 dollar shipping fee which can add up to 40-60% in total unexpected costs.

This is not only hurting sellers but also buyers who are no longer okay with these exorbitant fees. The consequences of these changes have been so severe that Mercari's stock has tanked by 9-10% in just five days and there is talk of it possibly being delisted from the Stock Exchange in some stock groups.

We urge you to reconsider your decision and bring back reasonable selling fees that allow both sellers and buyers to thrive on your platform.
