We are still waiting on responses from South Lanarkshire Council regarding the serious safety concerns on the Sandford–Strathaven route.

✅ A Freedom of Information (FOI) request was submitted on 22/08 and, under the 20 working day timescale, we expect this information to be with us by 20/09 at the latest.

We will continue to keep the community updated as soon as we receive replies from councillors and the council itself.

So far, we have had supportive responses from:

• Cllr Elise Frame, who has made clear this is not a safe or suitable route.

• Màiri McAllan MSP, who is actively awaiting answers from the council on our behalf.

This support is vital — but we must keep the pressure on.
