I have been a member of our beloved Freedom Sanctuary charity since its inception, witnessing firsthand how one dedicated employee, Mark Gladwin, has significantly contributed to the mission. Today, I write with a heavy heart, as Mark has been unfairly dismissed from their position, leaving a void that affects both our cause and community.

Mark has devoted many years to the charity, tirelessly working to improve the lives of countless dogs. Their passion and commitment have always gone above and beyond expectations, evidenced by several successful campaigns and community outreach programs. It is inconceivable that someone who has given so much could be suddenly cast aside.

The decision to sack Mark was made without a transparent process or tangible reasons, leaving many of us bewildered. The lack of due process not only shows a disregard for fairness but also undermines the values the charity stands for—transparency, justice, and compassion.

Many of the longterm volunteers are now leaving due to the new management regime and the recently received treatment, by so called animal lovers, who have also removed the dogs their to roam and feel safe. 

All those involved only have the dogs interests at heart, this has now been taken away from them.

Reinstating Mark will not only correct an unjust action but will also reinforce our organization’s dedication to these values. It will restore morale among us, show appreciation for long-standing commitment, and ensure the continuous positive impact Mark and other volunteers have had, always with the dogs welfare at heart, which has now been placed under serious risk and jeapodised.
