I am a parent who has experienced the heartbreak of having my children taken away based on hearsay. The Department of Human Services (DHS) in Floyd County, Charles City, Iowa, terminated my parental rights without concrete proof. They took two of my children from me while leaving one in my care. This action was not only inconsistent but also unjust.

It is important to note that there are approximately 437,000 children in foster care on any given day in the United States (source: Children's Bureau). Many parents like myself are fighting to regain their rights and reunite with their children.

The system should be designed to protect families and ensure the welfare of our children. However, it seems that it has failed us by acting hastily and without substantial evidence.
