School Library Association (UK) adds its voice

"The SLA supports the role of school librarians in their many roles in supporting students. School Librarians are a dedicated band of individuals, passionate about getting children and young people reading, using information ethically and helping them be safer online. It is very short-sighted to save money by cutting school librarians - the children and the teachers school librarians support will all be the losers if this happens."
