The Issue

from 2009 to 2019 i was entangled in a very abusive relationship with the father of all 4 of my children. despite all my efforts to make it work my rights were terminated in 2014 to 3 of the 4 of my children witch lead to adoption in 2015, thankfully left behind with a divorce in 2019. since then i have dedicated every moment to transforming my life to create a stable and nurturing environment for not only myself but for my children as well. the significant changes ive made over these years demonstrate my unwavering commitment to their well-being and there future. Recently i was granted power of attorney for 2 of the 4 of my children on march 31 2025 when they were faced with the unsetting prospect of entering the system again due to unmet mental, physical, educational, and psychological needs. In the 78 days since they have been in my care, I've ensured they attended all necessary appointments and returned to school, attending classes consistently. This marks a profound turnaround from the uncertainty that loomed over them.
i left my home and current husband who I've been married to since 2023 initially to stayed at the great falls rescue mission Cameron family center with the girls because we weren't sure if a one bedroom was adequate for the 4 of us. we moved in our current one-bedroom apartment, on may 26th 2025 after we were approved  to do so but the landlord and the department of child and family services. my children and I are making things work with my husband as we await larger accommodations. The road started out pretty rough, as we really were only allowed birthdays and Christmas for visits for the last 10 years but we are doing better and growing stronger as a family.
my son is currently under the guardianship of his paternal uncle out of state, and I am seeking visitation rights to maintain a loving and supportive relationship with him.
I am asking for your support to have my parental rights reinstated for my 2 daughters and to secure visitation rights with my son. My children deserve a chance to grow up in a loving environment where they are cherished and adequately cared for. The progress I’ve made in the past years showcases my dedication and ability to provide a stable and supportive home for them. i am asking for the reinstatement of my parental rights in Great Falls, Cascade County, MT. My daughters deserve too be with their transformed mother, who is now fully equipped to care for them with love, responsibility, and dedication.
Reinstating my parental rights is not just a legal formality but a critical step in unifying our family under one caring and supportive roof. The ability to legally and fully support and make decisions for all my children is essential to continuing our journey towards healing and stability.
The progress I’ve made in the past years showcases my dedication and ability to provide a stable and supportive home for them
I am ready and capable of fulfilling my role as their mother. It is not just my right but my children's right to grow up with the love and care. Please sign this petition to bring our family back together and allow me to provide the nurturing home they need and deserve. Together, we can make a difference for my children and for families who have faced similar challenges. sincerely LaLesha Ann Elkins
