As a concerned citizen, I am deeply troubled by the recent dismissal of our visionary and innovative city manager, Kevin Cowper. With his credentials as a certified city planner and extensive experience in community development, downtown and neighborhood redevelopment, public finance, infrastructure development, capital budgeting and economic development; Kevin has proven to be an invaluable asset to our community. His strategic planning approach has been instrumental in linking budgets and capital improvements to sustainable growth for Dothan.

Kevin's leadership has not only been recognized locally but also nationally. His work in urban planning has led to significant progress in the revitalization of our downtown area while ensuring that the needs of all residents are met sustainably.

The abrupt removal of such a dedicated public servant is detrimental to the continued growth and prosperity of Dothan. We believe that this decision was made without considering the long-term impacts on our community.

We urge you to reconsider this decision for the benefit of all residents who have seen firsthand how Kevin's leadership positively impacts our city.
