The Issue

In October, 2026, Hazhaar Othman was banned from the WUSV (Weltunion der Vereine für Deutsche Schäferhunde), a IGP competition for a Patreon video taken out of context. Haz Othman is an accomplished dog trainer, a champion in IGP who has competed in the national & global championships, as well as a man who has trained working dogs for the street, whether that be his Protection Dog programme or helping police dogs with the foundational training. Plus, Haz Othman has also trained pet dogs, including saving aggressive dogs from Behavioural Euthanasia and rehabilitating them back to safe K9 companions. He has always been transparent and never told a lie, unlike those who have taken a video from his Patreon where he was training an aggressive dog with a history of redirecting on the handler, extracted a small clip, sent it to the WUSV, and the WUSV Board of Directors kicked Haz out of the competition for "animal abuse", (despite the fact those who had sent the video to paint Haz in a negative light use training tools to apply far more pressure, whilst Haz's training system actively preaches using pressure smartly, not hard.) I personally find it abhorrent that Haz has been suspended, given the "animal abuse" allegation was not IGP training, it was behavioural modification for an aggressive pet dog that needed this pressure to prevent this dog rehearsing the bad behaviour, plus I found Haz's training advice helpful in the training of my own dogs. In addition, I dream to compete in IGP myself soon, and the notion that someone can just clip a video out of context and has a fellow competitor suspended, is frightening to say the least. Please sign this petition so the WUSV can recognise its mistake and reinstate Hazhaar Othman back in the WUSV, given Haz is an exemplar IGP trainer and his dog, Gage, is a testimony to the true German Shepherd, a healthy, athletic but strong, driven and well trained.
