The Issue

It deeply saddens me that this year that Fremont has decided to eliminate the option for children to wear costumes on Halloween Day.

For many kids, Halloween is a highlight of the school year. It's a chance for them to express themselves, share in the joy with friends, and engage in a fun and creative experience.

I understand that the school might have concerns, possibly ranging from avoiding distractions. However, there are practical ways to address these issues while still allowing our students to enjoy this special day.

Our children deserve a day where they can simply be kids, filled with laughter, creativity, and the magic that comes with dressing up and dreaming big. We owe it to them to bring back this cherished tradition.

Please join me in urging our school's administration to reconsider their decision to allow costumes on the Friday before Halloween.
