The Issue

Students at Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) are facing a disappointing reality: the removal of games from our schools. This isn't just a trivial matter; it represents a significant loss for students who are looking for a way to relax and unwind after finishing their work.

Lewisville, TX, and LISD have always prided themselves on providing a comprehensive educational experience. However, with the removal of these recreational outlets, many students are left without engaging activities to balance the demands of their academic load. Games offer more than just fun; they foster critical thinking, encourage teamwork, and provide a positive outlet for stress relief.

While we understand the decision may have been made with the intention of improving concentration and academic results, it has inadvertently removed a valuable aspect of school life. Research shows that integrating play and recreation into the daily routine can enhance students' focus and performance in academic tasks.

We believe that it's crucial for LISD to reconsider this decision and reinstate games in our schools. This alteration will not only boost morale but also create a well-rounded educational environment that values both learning and leisure.

when we don’t have games , we get mad. When we get mad, we get ISS. Then we go to bad college. If you go to bad college you get bad job. If you get bad job cannot pay for food. Then you starve

Our goal is to gather 5,000 signatures from concerned students, parents, and community members who believe in the importance of games at LISD. By reaching this target, we can demonstrate our collective desire to bring back games as a vital component of our school experience.

Sign this petition to show your support for reinstating games at LISD schools. Let's advocate for a balanced educational ecosystem that benefits all students. Join us in making this change happen! We got 6!
