We, the dedicated fans of Family Guy, earnestly request the resumption of Home Media releases for the show's seasons. The discontinuation of these releases has left a void for collectors and enthusiasts who value physical media.

Family Guy has a storied history with DVD sales. The initial DVD releases played a pivotal role in the show's revival after its cancellation in 2002. The first and second season DVDs sold 2.2 million copies in their initial year, becoming the best-selling television DVD of 2003 and the second-highest-selling television DVD ever at that time. This overwhelming support from DVD sales was instrumental in Fox's decision to renew the series in 2004.

 

The last DVD release for Family Guy was Season 17, made available on December 10, 2019. Since then, subsequent seasons have not been released on DVD, leaving a gap in the collections of many fans.

Continuing the release of Family Guy seasons on DVD is vital for several reasons:

Preservation: Physical media ensures that the content remains accessible regardless of changes in streaming rights or platform availability.

Collectibility: Many fans take pride in owning tangible copies of their favorite series, complete with special features and artwork.

Accessibility: Not all viewers have consistent access to high-speed internet required for streaming; DVDs provide an alternative means to enjoy the show.

Bonus Content: DVD releases often include uncensored episodes, extended scenes, and deleted scenes that are rarely available on streaming services. This additional content enriches the viewing experience and offers fans a more complete version of the show they love.

We understand the industry's shift towards digital formats; however, the demand for DVDs persists among a significant segment of the audience. By reinstating the DVD and possiblely BluRay releases of Family Guy seasons, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment would honor the show's rich history and cater to the enduring preferences of its loyal fanbase.
