Dr. Muhammad Suliman, a beloved figure in our community, has been an integral part of the Ottawa Mosque for many years. His charismatic and influential personality has touched many lives and fostered a sense of unity among us. His halaqas, khutbas, and various community activities have been enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds. He is not just an Imam; he is a friend, mentor, and teacher who has brought about positive change through his unique teaching methods. 

However, recently we were shocked to learn that Dr. Suliman was fired by the Ottawa Muslim Association (OMA) Board and Council of Trustees and is no longer serving as our Imam. Moreover, the OMA Board and Council has notified Dr. Suliman that him, his wife, and his children, will be evicted from their home on January 31, 2024, during one of the coldest months of the year. This decision deeply affects us all - it feels like losing a family member from our spiritual home. 

We believe that his reinstatement would be in the best interest of our community's spiritual growth and unity. We are confident that with him leading us again at the Ottawa Mosque, we can continue to grow together as one strong community.

Therefore, we urge those in charge to reconsider their decision and reinstate Dr. Muhammad Suliman as Imam at the Ottawa Mosque immediately.
