As longstanding members of the Bremerton community, we feel the unjust removal of Dr. James Crawford as the Bremerton School District Superintendent is detrimental to our children's futures. Dr. Crawford, a former Bremerton student himself, returned to lead our district with a unwavering commitment to improve student academic scores, enforce ethical behavior in the school board, and promote transparency throughout the district. Under his leadership, he guided the passage of a historical bond, levy, and strategic plan.

The Bremerton School Board, comprised of Alyson Rotter, John Hurley, Jonee Dubos, Karen Bolton and Carolynn Perkins, has unfortunately been a party to actions that have maligned Dr. Crawford and disrupted his efforts to uplift our educational system. The damage they have created in our community necessitates urgent attention and remedy. If they genuinely care about student achievement and restoring public trust, they must reinstate Dr. Crawford as Superintendent and join him in his fight for a brighter, more prosperous future for the children of Bremerton.

This petition isn't about politics; it's about safeguarding the educational opportunities for our children and restoring trust in our leaders. The time to act is now.
