Harris County Pets is not a shelter, it's a death camp. It is obviously being run by someone who has more political aspiration than empathy for animals - the VERY LAST TYPE OF PERSON YOU WANT RUNNING SUCH A PLACE!

Whereas euthanizing perfectly healthy dogs should never even be on the table, they've adopted it as a regularly scheduled activity, like lunch time. My Facebook feed is littered with posts of dogs in their shelter in danger of losing their lives. It is extremely disturbing, and heartbreaking, and that this continues is a great shame for humanity, not just your town. When there are no morals or ethics utilized in their decision making, we've lost. We've lost big time. We've lost all sense of humanity.

I read recently that the shelter has decided to stop releasing "Code RED" lists. I have to say I cannot be more puzzled and disappointed in this action. So the shelter wants to MINIMIZE the chances a dog might have at living?!?! On what planet does this make any sense at all?

We are the voices for animals, as they do not have their own. The way this shelter carries on is dreadfully shameful - I'm embarrassed to be a human being when I read about them.

Code RED lists must be reinstated. Not only that, more funding needs to be directed towards the efforts in SAVING these dogs. The have to be allowed to seek havens across the NATION, not just locally. Again, we owe it to the dogs.They are counting on us. 

Lastly, whomever is in charge of this shelter needs to be terminated IMMEDIATELY. They are an epic failure.

We demand MAJOR changes at this facility, and we demand them NOW.
