This is a petition that comes from a place of deep respect and gratitude for a person who has been more than just a coach to me and many other students. Coach Wayne has been a guiding light since the day I stepped foot in the world of sports. Outside of the playing field, he has been like a friend who has always been there to uplift and encourage.

His dismissal came as a shocking surprise. The school's decision didn't just deprive us of an incredible coach, but a mentor who had a significant hand in shaping our lives. Replacing him is not the solution. Without him, the spirit of our athletic community will undoubtedly suffer.

We appreciate that schools have the difficult task of managing staff and ensuring the best for their students. However, Coach Wayne's value far surpasses the traditional expectations from a coach. According to the Aspen Institute, coaches serve as 'non-parental adult role models' who play a significant part in encouraging students not just to pursue sports, but to continue with their education and develop emotionally. 

What coach Wayne did was wrong yes but students should not also have to suffer. Bringing coach wayne back would help all the student athletes at VCP.
