On May 16th, Coach Taylor Plesha of Newport High School was suspended following a complaint from one student-athlete who rarely sees playing time. On May 23rd, he was terminated without warning—despite just leading his team to its first league title since 2019. The accusations: profanity and the use of nicotine pouches. No warning, just termination. 

Players, parents, and assistant coaches have spoken out, but their voices have been ignored. Coaches and volunteers for Lincoln County School District should be very concerned by this outcome. 

We, the undersigned, demand:

1) The reinstatement of Coach Plesha until at least Sunday June 8, 2025.
