For over 12 years, Coach June/Mr. London has been a cherished part of Pender County community. As a bus driver and Topsail High School Varsity Basketball Coach coach, he has not only fulfilled his duties faithfully but also taken extra steps to care for our children's wellbeing. I write this petition with a heavy heart, sharing a personal story that echoes in more households in our county than not. 

Changes were made days before school started, that left Mr London uncomfortable to drive. He offered solutions and which were turned down by the director of transportation. His unforeseen displacement from his role as a bus driver and coach has created a significant disruption for many families in Pender County, especially for families with children who have unique needs, one of which is suffering from brain cancer. We must acknowledge and address the void left by his absence.

Mr. London has been a guiding light for families like mine. As a parent of a child with asthma, I saw his sensitivity and patience first-hand. He understood their needs, made them feel safe on their daily commute, and has been a significant part of their lives. His empathy is not exceptional but rather a testament to his character- loved and respected by us all. I know countless parents and kids in Pender County share similar stories and feelings about Mr. London's unwavering support and kindness.

With this petition, we urge the relevant authorities to reinstate Mr. June London in his roles, recognizing his dedication, care, and positive impact on our children. His reinstatement will restore the daily routines of many families and bring back a figure genuinely invested in children's welfare.
