My relationship with CF Vigor High School is deeply personal, and with it currently being on the failing school list, the concern is greater than ever. The lack of stability and low student morale due to recent administrative changes has had a profound impact on both me and everyone associated with the school. The situation is undeniably challenging. Our students need an atmosphere of stability, encouragement, and academic adequacy; promoting a cohesive environment conducive to learning and growth. Reinstating Coach John Mackenzie to the Athletic Director position is a stride towards that stability. His leadership style has been proven to positively influence the school community, and his return would set a robust foundation of morale and academic preparedness that our school sorely needs. Furthermore, reassigning Tiffany Buchanan to a different school would lend to the administrative restructuring required to set us on the right path. Changes in the administrative body are delicate matters that need immediate resolution. Based on my personal ties to CF Vigor High School, these necessary changes would alter the trajectory of a failing school to one of success, solidify its administrative functions, and instill much-needed stability for students who crave a reliable and conducive learning atmosphere.
