This summer, Coach Jamie Vattuone was removed without cause as Head Coach of San Marin High School Varsity Baseball. This decision has left students, parents, and the broader community stunned and deeply concerned.

For thirteen seasons, Coach Vattuone has been the heart of this program. Under his leadership, the team advanced to North Coast Sectionals twice and reached the MCAL championship game three times in the last four years. But his impact goes far beyond the scoreboard. He has built a program grounded in teamwork, integrity, and perseverance, shaping student athletes who carry those values well beyond the diamond.

Removing a coach with this record of success and character, without cause or transparency, does a disservice to our players, our families, and our school community. His absence leaves a void that will be felt in our sports culture and team morale for years to come.

Now is the time to show up for Coach Vatt. Sign this petition, share it with fellow parents and alumni, and join us at the next NUSD Board meeting to make our voices heard. Together, we can bring him back where he belongs.

We, the undersigned, call on Dr. Tracy Smith and the Novato Unified School District Board of Trustees to reverse this decision and reinstate Jamie Vattuone as Head Coach of San Marin Varsity Baseball.
