Longwave Transmissions End

Three days after Radio 4 left longwave, the three longwave transmitters have been switched off, bringing to an end 102 years of radio history. Whilst we remain hopeful that longwave transmissions will one day resume in some form, and our petition remains open to this end, for now it is a moment of great sadness.
