Reinstate Animal Transportation from Narita to Melbourne by Qantas

Reinstate Animal Transportation from Narita to Melbourne by Qantas

The Issue

I am an individual deeply affected by the recent decision of Qantas to cease animal transportation from Narita, Tokyo to Melbourne. My 6-year-old rescue dog will be separated due to this abrupt change in policy. We are not alone; many pet owners and their beloved animals are suffering because of this.

Qantas, a leading airline with a reputation for excellent customer service, has unexpectedly stopped transporting animals on this route. This has left numerous pet owners stranded and unable to reunite with their pets who they consider part of their family.

It's important to note that Australia has strict biosecurity laws which only allow certain airlines like Qantas to transport animals into the country (source: Australian Government Department of Agriculture). With Qantas discontinuing its services, it becomes almost impossible for many people living in Japan, to bring our pets into Australia.

We urge Qantas management to reconsider this decision. The bond between humans and their pets is immeasurable; it brings comfort, companionship and improves mental health (source: Mayo Clinic). By reinstating animal transportation on the Narita-Melbourne route, you will not only be providing a much-needed service but also reuniting families with their cherished pets.

Please sign this petition urging Qantas Airlines to resume its animal transportation services from Narita (Tokyo) to Melbourne. Your support can make all the difference in helping us reunite with our furry friends!
