The issue

I, along with many other loyal visitors, have been enjoying the unpowered sites at the Cotton Tree Family Holiday Park for the past 17 years. It was a peaceful haven where the close proximity of amenities made it a viable and appealing option for hundreds of happy holidaymakers each year.

Recently, the park has seen significant changes that have detrimentally affected the experience it provides. The removal of the nearby amenities block, which catered to hundreds of visitors during their stay, has forced individuals to walk approximately 200 meters in the middle of the night to the nearest facilities. This increased distance, especially in the quiet hours of the night, poses a serious safety risk, especially to the many young and vulnerable women who holiday there every year.

Alongside the removal of amenities, the site rental has witnessed a steep increase of at least 25%. These increases come with no added benefits – and in fact, with the loss of crucial facilities. It appears that the balance of value for money has tilted dramatically in favor of the council's financial gain rather than the visitors' quality of experience.

It's time to urge the council to reassess their priorities. The loyal visitors of the Cotton Tree Family Holiday Park deserve to have their voices heard and these recent alterations need to be reconsidered.

Sign our petition and join us in campaigning for the reinstatement of the vital amenities block and a justified revision of the increased site rental prices at the Cotton Tree Family Holiday Park. Your signature can make a difference. Thank you.
