From me to all of you—whether you knew me personally or only as ChrisPTaco—thank you. New World was the greatest MMO experience I’ve ever had, and that’s because of you: the players, the rivals, the allies, the friends I never expected to make. Every battle, every laugh, every late night grind meant something because we shared it together.

While I had hoped this petition might spark something unexpected—some mysterious champion from the shadows to breathe new life into our world—I’ve come to accept that Amazon is unlikely to part with it. That said, what we achieved together still matters. We stood up for our communities, our game, and the content we believed in—without hesitation and without regret. That unity is something no shutdown can ever take away.

Until we meet again, friends and foes alike. I’ll be leaving the petition open as a reminder—to ourselves and to future developers—of the standards, passion, and expectations we hold for the MMOs we love.
