The Spain Park Pride of the Park marching band has lost half of its season. Band members have been working in the heat multiple days per week since July. The band’s hard work was not only to entertain the crowds on Friday nights, but also to show the band community of Alabama the Pride of the Park’s hard work. The band has worked throughout the season for this goal and suddenly, with only a week left before the first competition, the second competition was cancelled. This means the band's season is over before it begins. Nearby, there are multiple bands that compete in 3, or even 4 competitions per season. As of writing this, the band has only one more rehearsal until its only competition. One more rehearsal to reach our full potential. Only one more rehearsal until we stop improving the show. Only one rehearsal until the 2026 band season comes to an end. As a band student writing this, I ask you to sign this petition.

Spread it to members of the Spain Park community. Please help us get our season back so our hard work can be worth it and our full potential can be realized and respected for what we’ve built.
