We the people have been using the Instagram platform for a long time. We rely on it for our businesses, building a client base, networking, social interactions with family and friends, ecommerce and more. However lately, more people than I can think of have been hacked on this same platform we have been supporting and investing our time and money. The problem can be solved with a simple facial recognition feature, the same type banks and iPhone uses to recognize you. Many of us who have been hacked filed FBI reports as well as called multiple times and emailed Facebook and Instagram. We have yet to hear from anyone that we can trust. A simple FaceTime or phone call could also solve the problem. Our followers, friends and family are being extorted left and right from the hackers and our lives are being ripped apart as the owners of these platforms do nothing to help. Facebook who owns Instagram sits back and does absolutely nothing to change their security which they literally could do at any moment to stop this madness and stop making us lose our entire  livelihoods and memories in their archives. Some of the pages were up for as long as Instagram started which isn’t right for the same platform to now turn a blind eye on those who trusted and supported them all this time. They have to be held accountable for not creating a solution for this hacking problem. We work for them providing them with eyeballs to advertise to. If they can’t see that it’s their responsibility to provide a safe secure environment for us to do business, then we should all leave or at least all go private for a day and see how fast they come up with a solution.
