Robert Fidler a farmer from Surrey, spent years building a mock Tudor home for him and his family. He had no building experience or development expertise and couldn't hire anyone to do any of the work as he hadn't ascertained planning permission, and was therefore creating this piece of building artwork in secret. He can only be described as a genius. 

I do not believe in breaking planning permission rules, however this property has to be an exception. It would be such a shame to knock down such a BEAUTIFUL building, and a complete waste of tax payers money.
