The Issue

Dogs have been a consistent source of distress and anxiety in my life, and I can no longer remain silent. I am writing this petition to voice my concerns and seek support for banning dogs from our community.

Over the years, I have experienced numerous negative encounters with dogs. Their constant barking, aggressive behavior, and unsanitary habits have made my environment unpleasant and stressful. The presence of dogs in public spaces has become overwhelming, and it’s time we take action to create a community that prioritises peace and safety. They frequently cause public disturbance. Owners lack responsibility and control over their dogs.

Dogs often roam freely, posing a threat to pedestrians and cyclists. Statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report that there are nearly 4.5 million dog bites in the United States each year, with children being the most vulnerable. This alarming figure highlights the urgent need to address this issue.

Furthermore, communities can suffer from dog-related nuisances such as incessant barking, waste management issues, and disturbances in public parks and recreational areas. These challenges impact our quality of life and should not be underestimated.

Dogs are constantly near other people, who have not consented to being around or touched by the dog. They lack boundaries which can be very distressing to the average person who does not want to be around salivating mammals.

This petition seeks to urge local authorities to implement stricter regulations and consider banning dogs from certain areas to ensure the safety and well-being of all community members. We aim to collaborate with authorities on enforcing leash laws, establishing designated pet-free zones, and holding pet owners accountable for their animal’s actions.

Join me in calling for a safer and more harmonious community. Together, we can work towards practical solutions that prioritize everyone's safety and well-being.

I think it should be a choice whether you are around dogs, not that they can run up to you potentially causing fear and discomfort.

The main concern of mine is that reactive dogs should be in social areas. Or any dogs allowed to bother unsuspecting passers.

Please sign this petition to support the cause of creating a dog-free environment in our community.
