As considered a wild animal raccoons are beneficial to our environment. They eat insects, rats and snakes if treated with rabies vaccines and antibiotics they pose no harm to humans as in most cases they are very smart and mild mannered. I ask they raccoons have the same type of treatment as regular house pets. If they become injured or even sick at least they can be treated and released. As for now they are considered an illegal animal and suffer for no reason. They have as much feelings as any house pet. Please allow this to happen as we will all benefit. They eat and hunt other pests that are far more dangerous than they are. If they can be properly treated for parasites as well they pose no harm other than getting into trash containers. Injured or sick raccoons will be able to be treated without incident or fines.
