However, when he announced his Vegas residency, securing a ticket felt like competing in The Hunger Games! The ticket price had skyrocketed to almost three times what I paid years before and continues to climb.

This is not an isolated incident but a widespread issue affecting countless fans worldwide due to Ticketmaster's unregulated resale policy. This policy allows resellers to drastically inflate ticket prices, creating an unfair market that exploits fans' love for their favorite artists. It not only puts a financial strain on fans but also enables others to make enormous profit margins off tickets they purchased at regular price.

For too long, Ticketmaster has monopolized ticket sales unchecked. According to Billboard (2019), they control over 80% of the global market share for major venues - a monopoly that gives them free rein over pricing strategies and policies.

It's high time we put an end to this exploitative practice. We call upon regulatory bodies and lawmakers alike to step up and impose regulations on Ticketmaster's resale policy – ensuring fair pricing for all fans who simply wish to experience their favorite music live without going into debt or facing exorbitant costs.
