Impact story:

Facing homelessness around the holidays is one of the hardest things I've ever experienced. As the cold weather sets in, the reality of our situation becomes even more overwhelming. Honestly, I hesitated to repost our GoFundMe because I've been afraid of being judged. Getting cruel messages from random accounts about asking for help hasn't made it any easier. But the truth is, this could happen to anyone. All I can do is be my authentic self and keep fighting for my family. 
For the past two years, my son and I have been in survival mode. Losing our home, going through multiple layoffs, and selling my car just to stay afloat have taken a toll on us. I've tried every resource I can think of-211, shelters-but there's little to no availability because so many people are struggling right now.
