Regulate the amount of fishing in East China

Regulate the amount of fishing in East China
The Issue
Overfishing is a really big problem so big that if we do nothing to prevent it. The world would run out of fish by 2048 and we would lose lots of fish related commodities like sushi, tuna, and fish itself. while you and I could live without fish. In a lot of countries fish is their main source of protein or their main source of income. In a lot of countries it’s a way of life, a necessity not a luxury.
The number of overfished species has tripled in the past 50 years. Today a third of the world's fisheries are currently pushed beyond their limits. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN. Overfishing is closely tied to bycatch (the capture of unwanted sea life while fishing for a different species). This too is a serious marine threat that causes the needless loss of billions of fish. Along with millions of turtles and sharks lives too.
China is the top country who relies on fish, needing almost 11.5 million tons of fish a year. Running out of fish would impact them heavily, and a lot of southern and eastern China would be malnourished, further impacting global goal number 14 along with number 2 (Zero hunger) . China isn’t helping themselves either, in fact they are the biggest contributors to overfishing. China fishes 14.65 million metric tons of fish a year which is 3.15 million tons over the amount of fish then they need. China has a 2,500 long distant fishing fleet but they have over 17,000 ships if you count unregistered or illegal ships. Even just cracking down on the 17,000 unregistered or illegal long distance ships would help tremendously with overfishing in china.
