In Australia, the rescues are full of unwanted pet rabbits. There are waiting lists of people wanting to surrender their unwanted rabbits.

Renters are giving away and dumping their pets in order to gain accommodation.

Some irresponsible owners are not controlling their rabbits and allowing them to escape and breed unfettered, further exacerbating an overpopulation of a domesticated animal where there is more supply than demand.

In order to reduce production and bring rabbit numbers down the "industry" must be regulated.

Breeders must be registered and regulated to deter those who want to unscrupulously make a quick buck, and if no buyers dump their stock.

Now is the time to act! Rescues are overflowing, more unethical breeders are being discovered everyday and there is nowhere for these rabbits to go. 

Please help the Australian Government to put regulation in place to control numbers before the domestic rabbit joins the wild rabbit as a pest, purely due to immoral human actions.
