I am a resident of Berlin, CT, USA, and my daily life has been severely impacted by the noise and smell pollution emanating from the Bright Feeds facility. The noise levels are so high that they disrupt my sleep, while the smells make it unbearable to step outside or enjoy my yard. It's gross.

The noise emission from this facility is well above the state-defined threshold established by DEEP (Department of Energy & Environmental Protection). Unfortunately, due to state defunding, there is no department currently able to enforce these regulations. Moreover, our town lacks a noise ordinance that could help mitigate this issue.

The smell pollution is equally distressing. The odors are extremely pungent and can be detected as far as 1.5-2 miles away from the facility.

This situation cannot continue unaddressed. We need your support to urge our town officials to establish legislation addressing these issues - both for enforcing existing state regulations on noise pollution and for creating a local ordinance regarding odor and noise control.
