The Issue

Let Oklahomans Choose

I believe Oklahoma should trust responsible adults to make their own choices.

SB 1589 takes effect on November 1, and many Oklahomans feel they were never given a meaningful voice on this issue.

This petition isn't about whether everyone agrees on online gaming. It's about making sure Oklahoma citizens are heard before choices are taken away.

I'm asking Oklahoma lawmakers to listen to the people, reconsider SB 1589, and explore alternatives that protect consumers while preserving personal freedom.

If you believe Oklahomans deserve a voice, please sign and share.

Let Oklahomans Choose.

I will personally say, that there have been many times that my family and I have been so close to getting our water shut off or electric shut off. Or when we had to move because we couldn't afford where we were at anymore due to my husbands heart aneurysm, I claimed the daily bonus and I had $5.00  left on one of my cards and I actually won a jackpot not very much, but it was enough at the right time to help us move. Sometimes The online gambling, is the only way a person can go, due to children home, or if an older person isn't mobile they can entertain themselves a little bit.

Another personal experience that I am truly going to miss if this proceeds is that I do have children, so that limits my entertainment life, So at the end of the day my husband and I really get to spend time with one another and one thing is the online casinos, the day is finished and its time to go to sleep and wake up to take care of our kids, It is impractical to drive all the way from my home plus having to find a babysitter, just to spend $10.00 instead of enjoying that time in the comfort of my own home.  With that being said, I really hope everyone that sees this will sign and share to as many people as possible. Thank you for your time.
