🎉 WE’VE PASSED 400 SIGNATURES — NOW ONWARDS TO 500!

A huge thank you to everyone who has signed and shared the petition. More than 400 people have now added their voices in support of fair, evidence based and proportionate dog training laws in NSW.
Before this petition was launched, The Western Weekender reported on concerns surrounding the proposed prong collar ban and questions about the consultation process that preceded the legislation.
The article highlighted concerns raised by the Professional Dog Trainers of Australia about when consultation occurred, as well as the practical implications of a prohibition that provides exemptions for some government handlers while restricting professional trainers and dog owners.
These were among the concerns that led to this petition.
You do not have to use or agree with prong collars to support the principle behind it: laws affecting dogs, their owners and professional trainers should be based on evidence, meaningful consultation and proportionate regulation.
We now have 400+ signatures. Let’s get to 500.
If you have already signed, thank you. Please consider sharing the petition with one more person.
