ReGreen Nairobi National Park

The Issue

Nairobi National Park situated within Kenya's capital is one of the major ranked green cities globally. However, climate change coupled with the effects of urbanisation are all impacting the fauna and flora within and around the National Park.

This ecological imbalance has a major effect on species survival and biodiversity. We all take pride in Nairobi National Park and this safe haven to many wild animals including the rich biodiversity not only earns the economy much needed foreign exchange but plays a great role in conservation efforts.

This petition calls on:

1. Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) through the Director General to implement measures to reclaim parts of the National park that are wont to loss of biodiversity.

2. The Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage in partnership with The Ministry of  Environment, Climate Change & Forestry and The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) mitigate the loss of biodiversity through re-greening initiatives.
