Maidstone Hall Gardens & Tennis Courts has almost 100 years' political, sporting, social and cultural history in Maidstone, with community involvement since the early 1900s. It's not new - just locked away for two decades or more.  

Having once tried to sell this site, Maribyrnong City Council now aims to change the name to 'Maidstone Park', on the premise of "marketing and ROI", they say.

Community members successfully saved this site...but changing the name effectively ERASES part of Maidstone's history, and shows great disrespect to those who were part of it - some of whom still live in our community.
