The Regis Jesuit Kairos Retreat is the highlight of many Regis students’ high school career. The tie dye shirts tradition is one that is both well known and has been present in the Girls Division for many years. The shirts bring unity to the GD of Regis Jesuit as a whole and is something that underclassmen look forward to until their junior year. Currently, Regis Jesuit High School leadership is working to take away this tradition in an attempt to be more “unified” with the Boys Division. The excuse of “equity” with the BD to steal the traditions that the Girls Division has created is grossly unfair. This decision does not reflect the countless other traditions that the Boys Division has had that the GD has not been able to participate in. This move to take away this sacred tradition is one that is not supported by the Girls Division student body. This tradition could be taken away from future generations of RJ students. Sign the petition to advocate for our history as a school and to not take away the experience that has shaped so many RJ women.
