Refuse to pay energy bills in April

Refuse to pay energy bills in April
Why this petition matters
Every household in Britain will face a record increase to their energy bills of 54% this April. This will mean every family in Britain will have to spend £700 more to heat their homes, with no additional financial support and no improvement to the service.
This is a political choice by the government, who have chosen to remove caps on energy companies rather than supporting ordinary families. The government of France have stepped in and pledged to take the financial burden away from ordinary people. Where the British government are allowing a 54% increase to bills, the people of France are only seeing a 4% rise.
Ordinary people in Britain are being punished for the political decisions of a government that has mismanaged the UK economy.
It is very clear that the government will not listen to petitions which simply ask for change. What is needed now is clear, direct action.
Send a message to the government that forcing ordinary people to pay soaring energy bills with no improved service or support is not acceptable.
Join the pledge to refuse to pay your energy bills this April.
