Refurbish Heabrook Parc Heamoor's Play Park and Playing Field for Our Children

Refurbish Heabrook Parc Heamoor's Play Park and Playing Field for Our Children
The Issue
As a resident and parent in Heamoor, seeing our children deprived of a decent playing space is disheartening. Heamoor Village, which accommodates 2 schools and is in proximity to 2 others, is bustling with children. Sadly, they have been left with an outdated park in contrast to other local parks that have seen significant improvements. We believe our children deserve the same opportunity to play, socialise, and thrive in the fresh air, especially in a world where mental health concerns and obesity rates are increasingly becoming issues amongst youngsters.
According to the World Health Organisation, regular physical activity in children and adolescents aged 5–17 years improves cardiorespiratory fitness, builds strong muscles and bones, and reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression. Our children deserve nothing but the best and providing them with a refurbished play park and playing field can boost their holistic development.
We call for the following upgrades to Heabrook Parc Heamoor: refurbishment of old play equipment, instalment of new play equipment, a new toddler play area to replace the one that was removed and never replaced, new seating areas, new footpath surfacing, and landscaping that includes planting.
We urge those in charge to invest in the wellbeing of our children and future generations by refurbishing Heabrook Parc Heamoor. Let's ensure our children can enjoy the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of a vibrant community park. Please sign the petition to support the wellbeing and development of our children.
