More construction across the UK is being fast-tracked as planning laws are being changed in a new Planning Bill.

Politicians from across the political spectrum say we need to build hundreds of thousands of new houses to solve the housing crisis. The government wants to change the planning system to fast-track these new developments.

Supporting this pro-development strategy will have huge irreversible impact on the environment as it uses up resources and releases huge quantities of carbon and other pollutants.

So how do you solve a housing crisis in a time of climate change?

The Radical Housing Network is hosting a workshop, which you are welcome to join.

They have invited a number of people to lead off the discussion;
Sara Edmonds, Thematic Group Coordinator for the Architects Climate Action Network (ACAN);
Prof. Paul Watt, author of Estate Regeneration and its Discontents;
Dr Rex McKenzie, an economist doing research in the area of wealth and housing inequality;
Sabine Mairey from the Save Central Hill campaign who has been researching the impact of construction on biodiversity;
Action on Empty Homes

We invite anyone from the housing and environmental movements to join the discussion, to learn from each other and strengthen all our struggles for social justice.
