Spoke with the Sony rep again today and was informed that they will not be issuing me a refund based off my BBB claim of 15 U.S. Code § 52 - Dissemination of false advertisements / as well as the stance of the product being considered "faulty" under their current refund policy, they reiterated that ( EA ) has to tell them ( Sony ) that the product is faulty in order for refunds to be given. No matter what the community says or does will change this and no in-store credit was offered either as compensation. We informed them that ( Steam ) broke their own refund policy to reimburse their consumers. We also informed them about this petition as well as the other one linked here if you want to sign as well: https://chng.it/hswZwFGNjx :to inform Sony that the community is not willing to accept this predatory practice. What Sony did inform me is that they are looking into potentially changing their refund policy to hold publishers accountable in the future (as a buggy "next-gen" game damages their shiny new consoles reputation) as well as possibly removing Battlefield 2042 from their digital store as they did with cyberpunk 2077. So share this petition as well as the other one linked in this update if you want to see real change at least with (Sony) in terms of refund policy adjustments in the coming future. I will continue to keep you updated on this matter when new information comes.
